Students Comment : i) chipko type movement and chipko movement are not same. ii) But both the movements aim were same. iii) chipko type i have mentioned the word 'type' because this movement took place far before (in 1730 in khejadli village Rajasthan) the actual chipko movement. Which then was not named as chipko movement. Then in 1970 in Uttar Pradesh same kind of movement took place for saving trees, which was named as chipko movement. Hope i have made your doubt clear.

Whereas in the previous explanation video it was told that the ' Chipko Movement ' started in 1970s. Ma'am my first doubt regarding this is - I)Is 'Chipko type Movement 'and 'Chipko movement same ? If same then why is it told that one took place around 1730 and another in 1970.
